Swansea City target Andy

Yiadom won’t be sold on

the cheap this summer,

says Barnsley boss Paul

Heckingbottom.

The 25 year-old former Barnet

full-back has flourished at

Oakwell since his arrival last

summer, and made his

international debut for Ghana

earlier this year.

But after turning down a

‘derisory’ offer from Premier

League new-boys Huddersfield,

the Tykes’ chief says it will

require a significantly improved

bid to obtain the signature of

Yiadom, with the Swans

reportedly readying a £3m move.

“We have been clear that no-one

is going to get him on the cheap

and after being really clear about

that, they (clubs) seem to have

backed off,” he explained to the

Yorkshire Post .

“So maybe that is what they were

thinking; they could get real good

value. And now they know what

they would have to pay, they seem

to have quietened down about it.”
