Turkish club Fenerbahce are currently in talks
with Diego Costa’s representatives to sign the
Chelsea striker on loan.
The out-of-favour striker has been in Brazil all
this while after refusing to return to England.
The Spanish international failed to leave the
Premier League champions before transfer
deadline day in many zones in Europe,
however, the Turkish transfer window does
not close until today Friday 8th September.
A source close to the negotiations has said a
deal with the Turkish side is unlikely, but talks
are ongoing.
Antonio Conte had told Costa at the end of
last season that he had no plans for him in
the club and he should find another club.
The striker wanted to return to Atletico
Madrid, but the deal fell through due to Diego
Simeone’s Atletico not being able to sign new
players until January.
Diego Costa scored 20 goals for the Blues in
their title-winning campaign last season.
